the leaders of the mob should apologise
UPDATED: …or better still, perak mufti should apologise (to the church). he was instrumental in instigating the mob to gather at the church!!

so they had found the woman who started the whole thing (so according to the perak mufti) and charged her. why her? why not perak mufti, harusanni? as i had blog here, it should be the perak mufti who should be charged. he was the one who acted irresponsibly when he spread the rumour to several muslim NOGs in a public mosque. the woman did not spread the news; the woman only told him (perak mufti) about the news.
*sigh* so this is how our law works. someone popular not charged but someone unknown charged. yeah yeah what else is new.
another thing that angers me a lot is that… i had said it before… and i will say it again and again… why was it that they – our MPs who spoke up, include PM and DPM and the police – focussed so much on the one who started the sms rumour and not at all on the protestors. the protestors who gathered there at the church comprise NGOs from various muslim groups and opposition parties e.g. keadilan, PAS, ABIM – the leaders of these groups should be charged too!! they gathered there based on a rumour and they disrupt (and frightened) a meaningful, beautiful ceremony the church was holding on that day.
as i mentioned here, i had seen the video of the protestors in action. it was frightening indeed to see the protestors raising their fists and shouting (and also frightening to see so many police and FRU around. so many, i tell you… that it gave me a shock!). the first time i saw it, i heard someone shout something “bakar bangunan ini!”. then yesterday i saw it for the second time. and this time i heard the shouts of “hidup islam!” (audio not so clear, so first time didn’t hear it). hidup islam? gosh, aren’t they shameful? is this what their islam wants them to do?
somebody in a forum says this (not exact words):
even if the rumour is true, does it give them the right to protest? does it give them the right to burn the building?
well, what to do… these people are acting like hooligans lah, they can’t sit down and think, have a debate or dialouge, they only know how to act like a mob.
it is sad to think that this had to happen to the church of our lady of lourdes in silibin, ipoh. this was the second crisis they had gone through. do you remember the bus accident of some pilgirms attending the st anne’s feast, where many were killed? they were all from this church. we emphatise with them at that time for their great loss and now we emphatise with them again as they had to face a mob who had to flex thier muscle and vocal chords just because they feel their religion is jeapardise (why the shout of ‘hidup islam’ then?).
ok coming now to the heading of this post…. the leaders of the mob who gathered at the church should apologise to the parish priest of the church for disturbing the peace in the church. do you think they will apologise? of course not! son-in-law khairy boy had taught them well – “there is no need to apologise if we are fighting for our race/religion” even if they were dead wrong or guilty as hell. truly, they need to ‘hidup islam’. sad, isn’t it?
==========
OT: i have the video of the protest in DVD format. been trying to convert it to other format to upload on the net. i did manage to do it but then the file is too big (over 400MB!) so can’t be upload to youtube or some file sharing sites. anyone have any idea what i should do? i did ask around already some bloggers like howsy and walski. walski suggested i transfer the video in segments and save them in smaller .wmp files but since i am a non techie savvy, i don’t know how to do it! is there any easier way to do it?
