malaysian police fire in temple demolition protest.
scuffle breaks out during temple demolition
Chong later went to meet council president Datuk Aris Ariffin who said the temple had been constructed illegally even though the land belonged to the temple.
“He told us there was no approval for the temple building and the council had to act based on public complaints,” she said.
“The council should be sensitive when tearing down places of worship even if they are illegal structures. I don’t understand the double standards practised.
“Look at Zakaria’s (Port Klang assemblyman Datuk Zainal @ Zakaria Mat Deros) house which the council has not torn down despite it being illegal.
i have nothing more to say. go read the article.

In a morally decadent state, “duty” and “legality” don’t have a human face.

I went for breakfast, bought The Star, and guess what I read that Badawi has “pledged that Umno will be fair and just to all races”.
Then next, I read about how a Chinese temple has been demolished while Zakaria’s Palace (complete with the tower/penis extension on the roof) remains standing.
Perhaps we are now like, to paraphrase Animal Farm (Orwell again):
“All will be fairly treated, but some will be fairly treated more than others”
lucia: when UMNO is fair and just to all races will be the day elephants can fly.
and that stupid MCA kepala had to say that the PM’s speech brought strong message of racial unity. ugh! made me want to puke.Â

Someone was speaking through his songkok and you must take it to be sincere.
Know why one doesn’t buy papers nor see M’sian TVs? The assault on one’s imtelligience is simply too ovwerwhelming.
lucia: what to do. the papers are ‘ruled’ by the ruling coalition, so they wants to ‘rule’ our minds, thinking we are stupid to fall under their rules and ruling!!!

It is good these things happen to open the eyes of people. First it was the Indian temples. Then the churches. Now the chinese. There is a growing under current which MCA and MIC will not be able to quell. In some places it has got very physical.
yes in a way it is good, let others realise about the double standards… but if this continues on and on, we are the losers. already as you mentioned MCA and MIC can’t do much. so what to do? oh yeah, the favourite line of “vote them out come next election.” (but that is another matter for discussion too)

Also in the North we have this:
STATUES in two Hindu temples were set on fire and an attempt was made to burn a third temple in Batu Putih, Kulim, late on Sunday night and in the wee hours of Monday, Tamil Nesan reported.

There have been many other incidents as anarchy takes hold.

Lucia:”… we are stupid to fall under their rules and ruling!!! “
The ah mows and ah tows are the empowrers of MCA, Gerakan. They are the selfish and stupid hence deplorable ones. Not “us”.
lucia: well i mean ‘we’ as in general, the public.

Buying noose papers is like paying to be insulted. Watching local TV is like attebding indoctrinations that supports Ketuanan UMNO. Don’t forget how Astro was forced to carry local TV broadcasts…..this clearly confirmed their brainwashing agenda of force-feeding vomits.

“…DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng called on MPSP president Datuk Md Aris Ariffin to step down “as he was not sensitive enough to hold such a public service position”. “What is the point of stopping the demolition after part of the building was pulled down?” Lim said Md Aris could have been more sensitive by giving more time to the temple committee, considering the fact that they had appealed and were willing to resolve the matter with the local authority….. ”
Sensitivity seems always to be a one-way street. Or rather name that as ‘Arrogant Street’ reserved for some people only.
Hutch, the iconoclastic thing can only accelerate and the BN component parties will continue to be self-serving wise monkies impervious to inputs or capable of output. History’s repetition only.

darn typo on my name, how the hell do i correct that.
Anyway, right beside the temple , the land has been cleared for developement, the noose paper photos failed to show the site. Haha, i guess what developers wants developers gets. Council dogs bites on seeing cash?

Oho they have found the reason:
`Mohd Johari, who is also Kubang Pasu Member of Parliament, said the government would also closely monitor certain newspapers.
“There is a Chinese newspaper which raises issues that can create alarm among the people,” he said, adding that the government would not hesitate to take stern action against any publication containing seditious material.

“create alarm among the people”, that’s something to ponder on how one sided it is in application. Since when has these Chinese papers then and afterwards ever wave any broadswords around any time?
The good that a man does lives after him, so does the bad. TAR was the only non one-way street gentlemen, truly respected by all, from their midst it would seem.
November 20th, 2006 on 8:47 pm
Oh, well, not quite from ‘em midst of the one way streeters.

While you folks of different races fight it out -all the country’s wealth would be `cleaned up’ by the Mr Clean’s of the world ! All the ketua Bahagian also get their `bahagian’/divisions !
November 22nd, 2006 on 11:21 am
The insidious intent of the Mr Clean’s of the world, Ong, to enable their agenda in a continuing controlled reaction.
Anyway, insensitivity and bad faith is indicated by not allowing the deities’ statues to be first removed.
