the commotion that happened outside zakaria’s mansion between DAP members, parti keadilan and zakaria’s protestors were reported in the main mainstream media, the star and NST of course but i notice both did not mentioned what malaysiakini (or here) mentioned.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat Selangor vice-chief Khairul Anuar Zainudin, who was at the demonstration, claimed racial slurs were made by the mob, as most of the protestors where ethnic Chinese.
“They played up racial sentiments. They were shouting ‘Cina balik!’ (Chinese get out!), ‘Kalau kamu mahu Mei 13, saya hari ini boleh bagi kau’ (If you want May 13, I can give it to you today)” said Khairul when contacted.
the star only subtly mentioned:
The pro-Zakaria people continued to shoo away the crowd, shouting “Keluar (Get out)” and “Balik (Go back).”
i suppose those pro-zakaria people are UMNO people. whoa! they were so ready to let another ‘may 13′ incident occurred. nice.

Let? UMNO CAUSED May13 riot!! – read your history on the internet not from text books. The sentiment of the crowd only reflect the truth. They know it and ironically you don’t.
lucia: tsk tsk, my dear bigjoe, obviously you don’t understand what i’m writing about… and also don’t understand my sentiments towards UMNO (being a non regular reader).
the heading, you notice i put in between inverted commas, which means it was spoken by someone… in this instance zakaria’s thugs who threatened the opposition. it was not i who said it.
i had been on the internet for 8 years and blogging on political issues for 3 years and regular readers will know my stand on UMNO. i don’t need you to tell me UMNO caused the riot… i am aware of that a long time ago.Â

Opposition parties in Malaysia seek cheap publicity by inflaming racial sentiments. They do not have to bear the crunch if any form of violence erupts. Most of all, Parti Keadilan Rakyat wants to steal some limelight to portray themselves as ’saviours’.
Khairul Anuar Zainudin should be detained under ISA including the leaders of the party, Mr.& Mrs. Anwar Ibrahim for permitting Khairul to make racial slurs. But will that happen? Forget it.
lucia: huh? it was not khairul who made that racial slurs. it was zakaria’s thugs. and i totally disagree that opposition parties seek publicity by inflaming racial sentiments. more often than not, it is the UMNOputera.

35 years ago riot incident, not many knows the truth. However, in todays information world and internet, nothing can escape the truth. The MSM can spin, but we have the internet news and bloggers. Everyone will know the truth, if ever it is to happen.
lucia: true… but then the only a small percentage of the public has access to the internet.

The late MGG Pillai’s blog archive has one of the best takes on the subject.
It’s ridiculous to imply and attempt to make the label stick solely on the opposition whenever the mention of inflaming racial tension crops up. No matter how much Goebbel-ing is use, i.e. The truth is generally the other way around. This wanton projection effort is mainly BS and a coccoon against facing facts and reality but tailor-made for those whose comfort zone is found in D’Nile.

That has to be scarey when those sentiments get built up. And you guys have no guns to protect yourselves. I always remember Indonesia student riots. Be careful Lucia. Hopefully this is only a few extremists. But it really only takes a few.

Out of the hundreds present, I’m sure one or two has videotaped the incident. Hopefully they’ll post the video on YouTube and truely expose these mafia assholes for who they really are.
I hope the Sultan orders that maniac mansion vacated and blows it up Vendetta-style like in the comic/movie.

chey! it has been a pattern to the umno thugs nowadays. whenever they have isues involving chinese – a keris wielding & a may 13 sentiment will be played over & over again. they think we can buy those ‘momokings’ as an effective scare from them? go chase the boogeyman la, 13 may my foot. Not scared also, not even abit.
