too tired these days to blog. feeling so sleepy these days. think my 4 1/2 hrs sleep is getting a toll on me. been nodding off at work and at home, even when glue to the computer on the net (or on the tv, which i seldom do). i think i cannot blog everyday now. i think i need more sleep now… oh dear me, then it’s time for me to go now as it’s close to 2.00am.

ahh. what a significant day yesterday was. 27 sept. 2004. i started this blog on 27 sept. 2003. hence my blog is now one years old. how time flies… it had been one year that i had been blogging.

today is the chinese’s 15th day of the 8th month, which is the mid autumn festival or also known as mooncake festival or lantern festival.

like the durians, i never eat mooncake at all. don’t like it at all despite the many types that are now available.

as it is the lantern festival, here i would like to share an article i wrote many years back to the defunct malaysian post magazine.

that’s right. happy anniversary to my blog, mental jog, a place for you to exercise your mind.

it was exactly one year from today that i started blogging. in that one year, i had made 389 posts. this is my 390th post.

long time no post this kind of touching inspiring story.

There was this museum laid with beautiful marble tiles, with a huge marble statue displayed in the middle of the lobby. Many people came from all over the world just to admire this beautiful marble statue.

One night, the marble tiles started talking to the marble statue. Marble tile: “Marble statue, it’s just not fair, it’s just not fair! why does everybody from all over the world come all the way here just to step on me while admiring you? Not fair!”.

when i read yesterday’s star, the bold front page headline ‘UMNO for all’(in the hardcopy print, online it was tittled ‘UMNO will continue to be a leader for all’), i was kind of going “huh??? what the…?”. UMNO for all? how can it be, when UMNO is for malays only? remind me of those who are fond of saying “islam is for all”.

well, this ‘UMNO for all’ headline was for our PM, pak lah’s speech at the UMNO assembly.

Umno will continue to be a leader to all Malaysians while continuing with its struggle to strengthen the position of the Malays, said party president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

deputy PM, datuk seri najib at the opening of wanita, youth and puteri assemblies:
“The Malays have yet to achieve the targets of the New Economic Policy despite having political control. When the community succeeds in the economic sector, it will ensure stability and also benefit non-Malays.

We must ensure that the country’s wealth is evenly distributed.”

whoa!! and we thought it’s time to do away with NEP.

in what way can the non malays benefit when the malays succeed???

now why am i not surprise that some datuk and tan sri are behind loan shark (’along’ syndicate. at one time we found out there were ‘gangsters datuk’, right, when there was this gangster datuk from MCA who was a notorius wanted criminal. so what if many datuks are now found to be behind illegal money landing scheme. i won’t bat an eyelid.

remember my joy when i was nominated for the red ribbon awards? i blogged on how happy i was to be nominated but i didn’t expect to win. true enough, i didn’t and guess who did? it was huai bin (aka killuiminati) of sixth seal com! hurray! congrats to him. he really deserve it as his post on HIV testing was so informative and detailed. it’s good to know that a fellow blogger whom i know won. huai bin, you made me proud, or as james had said of my nominations, you made us bloggers proud… but you won, so you made us prouder still!
