BA’s manifesto
Post on Mar.01, 2004
what do you think of BA’s (barisan alternative) 10 pledges for a new malaysia?
the 10 pledges in BA manifesto:
# your rights – we protect
# your life – we enhance
# your security – we assure
# your government – we strengthen
# your education – we provide
# your health – we take care
# your business – we support
# your religion – we respect
# your environment – we preserve
# your future – together with a new Malaysia
wow. sound very poetic.
and the 10 promises are:
- a minimum wage of RM1,250
- restore local council elections
- 30% of top gov’t posts for women
- abolish ‘inhumane’ laws – ISA, OSA, etc.
- enact Freedom of Information Act
- ACA, Petronas answerable to parliament
- reduce car prices from Jan 1, 2005
- 50% cut in tolls charges
- 30% cut in water, telephone charges
- build six new public universities
*shaking head* promises, promises, promises. yawn!
the worst part of it is that as i expected but hopefully it won’t, is that BA says they will focus on anwar (one of the 3). well, didn’t i say it before, keadilan is anwar’s party. if they focus on the injustices on anwar, ok but to plead for his release??
