off to lumut

ok this morning i’ll be leaving penang for lumut. as i mentioned in my post here, i’ll be staying at the swiss garden damai laut resort. will be back home on sunday evening. i hope i will enjoy myself there. need to get a break once in a long while after so much hectic work. the trip is not entirely holiday though. it will be partly ‘formation’. ‘formation session’ is merely a term the catholic church (at least in our country) like to use in place of seminar or conference. we used ‘formation’ because what we learned from the invited speaker/s is suppose to ‘form’ us into being better and dedicated members.

we will reach damai laut on friday evening and it will be free and easy time for us, being the first day. probably after dinner, we’ll have games and sing-a-long. then on saturday, no free time! on saturday, whole day, we’ll have a priest with us as a speaker. i’m sure it won’t be boring as this priest is a director of the penang office of human development and the justice and peace commission. he’ll have something to say about justice and even the government! on sunday it will be free time again where we plan to go to the beach for some beach games or to dig for siput!

oh yeah heard that the damai laut is a 4 stars hotel and there are lots of facilities there, including a huge swimming pool, jacuzzi and spa. well it had been years that i did not swim so i must have forgotten how to swim! haha. anyway i can’t really swim. i can only move with 5 strokes! (you don’t call that a swim, do you?). i can float very well though. of course lah… because of my fats. haha. it has been said fat people float better because the fats in their body help to keep them afloat.

well i wouldn’t want to go swimming but i don’t mind soaking at the jacuzzi. that was why that day on merdeka day, i went shopping for a swimsuit. try 3 different type of swimsuit, and there was one lovely, sexy one that i like very much but found that when i wear it, i looked so fat, what with my bulging stomach popping up so prominently. ugh! ugly! in the end i settle for a 2-piece suit… no goodness, not a bikini of course! (no shape to show off in bikini, remember?). it’s a decent 2-piece suit consisting of a sleeveless, cut-in shirt and a short pants.
ok i’m very excited over the weekend trip and hope everything will turn out well. will be off the net, and thus off blogging for 2 days then, so see you again on monday! i will sure take many photos and share some of them here. (but of course no pic of me in my swimsuit as don’t wanna make you throw up on your computer).

what a pity, i have to be away online when a great news is on the air – the release of anwar. gonna miss all the excitement as i won’t have access to the net. see, should have bought my PDA earlier!! boo-hoo!
