yippee!

yep! i can get on the internet at home now! hurray!! it was my modem. something wrong with it. funny. though the modem can dial in but something’s wrong with it. my nephew (who is only 19) came and check and change another modem for me… the spare one he has. luckily it’s also a 56K modem. i do have a spare modem but it is only 36K. now i’m using my nephew’s modem and hopefully it won’t be damaged again. oh… speaking about that, today our tv transmission was down again… after a heavy rainfall (think got thunderstorm too). so lousy. little bit thunderstorm, tv transmission down. what the hell happened lah. this also made me paranoid that one day my ‘new’ modem will be damaged again.

when i checked email just now, i have near 700 mails!! well it had been 4 days i can’t check email so that figures, since one day i usually have over 100 or so mails (but more than half are always nothing but spams). luckily i’m now using g-lock spam combat, recommended by wits0. it is a very good software indeed.

anybody have any idea how do i terminate my tm.net account? i mean just the email account. it seems that mails to my tm.net account now consists of nothing but spams. i had since long time stop giving away my tm.net email account to friends anyway. to avoid downloading all those stupid spams from tm.net, methinks it is better for me to terminate the account all together.
