anwar linked to terrorists?
have you heard? on 22 oct, an australian tv station, SBS dateline ran a story that the onternational institute of islamic thought (IIIT), of which datuk seri anwar ibrahim was one of its three directors, has been funding terrorist activities, including supporting islamic jihad.
Bernama carry the story here including a story on the party keadilan nasional denying it. also, at the malay mail, keadilan president datin seri dr wan azizah (wife of anwar) said that the claims are baseless.
beside linking the IIIT to terrorist, the report in dateline also linked the international free anwar campaign (IFAC) to al-qaeda’s financiers. and you should read what IFAC thinks of this… they blame it on deputy PM, ‘pak lah’, saying that he had fired the first shot.
hmm… looks like they are claiming it is a conspiracy of the government? or to be exact the new government of pak lah? it’s interesting to note that they said if malaysia itself were to made such allegations, nobody would believe, so they conspire to ‘plant’ foreign reporters to made the allegations!
what do you think? i’m sure many people are not stupid too to believe a report just because it is from a foreign source (or supposedly, so claim IFAC). well, our minister in the prime minister’s department, datuk seri dr rais yatim had called on the police to investigate these claims by the aussie TV, but if it is really a conspiracy by the government, do you think the police will investigate?
