when christina and i arrived (about 9.10pm), we saw a few black-clad young people here and there spread out. we took a table and order some sandwich and of course my kopi-o. then we wonder were there others? if yes, were they gathered some other corner?

well, while we were going to tuck in our food… surprise!… a young man approached us. i said to him that his face is familiar. then he introduced himself as YB sim tze tzin, ADUN for pantai jerejak (my area). he sat down at our table and talked to us. he then told us that there were a group of black-clad people gathered at the foyer and he said later he will called them all inside. he was very friendly and easy to talk too. ask us about our jobs and when i told him i’m a blogger, he asked the name of the blog, i said “aiya. not famous one. mental jog”. i was surprised he said that he heard of the name before because someone mentioned it to him. well, just ‘heard of’ lah, not read!

anyway, later he left our table and called the rest from outside (foyer) to come in and we all sat at the round table in a row. there were some other people from PKR… a malay guy who is a blogger too (he told me his blog but i forgot) and who took a lot of photos. the chinese malaysiakini reporter and sun reporter, husna yusop were there too and here you see them interviewing YB sim (seen left, head only. centre is the sun reporter).

YB sim was saying that the perak crisis is something everybody should be concerned of and he was glad that there is this 1blackmalaysia campaign to support the call for dissolving the perak state assembly.

dalbinder (why was he wearing bright orange eh?) who was blogging live, was at our table too. after some time, he suddenly discovered that wi-fi was off. hmm… did the management switch it off? there were a few others with notebook too. during the photo-taking session, christina made a quick count of heads and she said there were about 40 of us. wow! great to see so many turned up. well dalbinder blog that there were some special branch people outside the cafe but i didn’t notice them.

here is a pictures of the crowd holding up the paper ‘bubar DUN’. you see in the foreground an old man… another old man was next to him. and there were some old ladies at the other corner too! see, young and old joined in the campaign!

later on as some of us, including me, said that the paper should have ‘perak’ in it after ‘DUN’, someone took back all the paper to write ‘perak’ on it and here is the other shot with ‘perak’ added in.  foreground 3 persons holding the sign – left is YB sim and right is christina.

well it had been fun sipping coffee and chit chatting… thus i’ll be back next thursday. come join me! remember to wear black!
