detained on strength of mere suspicion

read the account of these two people, dr. cecilia ng and br. anthony rogers, who are catholics, about their days under ISA (internal security act) during the infamous operation lallang in 1987.

i met dr. cecilia ng before twice and just managed to casually talk to her for few minutes. i doubt if she knows me. as for br. anthony rogers, i know him well and he knows me too. he’s working under the national office for human development, of which the penang office, penang office for human development is in the same office as my office. br. rogers never like to talk about his ISA detention days to us. at least here, now in the malaysiakini’s interview, i get to read a little of his account.
