i don’t want an indpendent as my MP!
see, my hero, tok guru (PAS spiritual leader datuk nik abdul aziz nik mat) echo what i had been saying a few days ago while commenting at malaysiakini (or maybe the malaysian insider.)
nik aziz said zahrain had betrayed the trust of voters in his constituency. yes indeed. i’m from bayan baru and i had voted for him! er… corrections i had voted for PKR! now that he is independent, i don’t want an independent to represent me in parliament. worst when soon he become BN friendly, i don’t want anyone to do with BN as my MP!!
the day when he resigned, i read in the star paper that he had said he did not betrayed the trust of his voters! can you believe that???? what a man! he stood under the PKR ticket for the election and i voted him because of PKR. so it is not fair to me now that he is not in PKR! he betrayed my trust!
PKR election director fuziah salleh had also called on zahrain (and another 4 renegrade lawmakers) to quit from his post and then stand for election as an independent. yeah, zahrain, why not? if PKR put a cow as a candidate to stand against you as an independent, i will vote for the cow.
in malaysiakini, it was stated that PAS youth division will demonstrate if zahrain does not step down within 48 hours. why?
“Zahrain’s victory in the Bayan Baru parliamentary seat in the 2008 general election with a majority of 11,209 is the result of the efforts and energy of the Pakatan machinery, particularly, the members of PAS Bayan Baru,” said Dzul Fahmi in a faxed statement.
“His irresponsible action (in quitting PKR) is indirectly an act that belittles all the sacrifices of PAS members here, and an insult to the voters of this constituency,” he added.
yep! what an insult! now i have no PKR or DAP or PAS representing me in parliament.
dzul also said that they would collect signatures from local residents to petition zahrain into stepping down if he failed to do so voluntarily. good. don’t forget to come to my house, dzul.
dzul continued to say:
if Zahrain is convinced of his actions and stands by his statements about the leadership of Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng, he should prove it by taking the issue to the voters of Bayan Baru and stand as an independent candidate in a by-election.
yep. let us, the rakyat decide if what you accused LGE of is true or not. let us decide if we the bayan baru, penang residents want to do without LGE or not. (well he had said that ‘penangites would be better off without LGE’).
PLEASE ZAHRAIN, BE A GENTLEMAN AND STEP DOWN. i don’t want an indpeendent or a BN rep. to by my MP.
