it’s all about money
gee, looks like i have to sing my abba amended song ‘money money money‘ again. when will i ever stop singing it? i guess not ever with the present ruling coalition ruling in bolehland. the first time song touch all on our present ‘soon-going-to-be-but-everybody-hope-not-to-be-but-looks-like-no-choice-it-will-be’ (phew!) DPM. second time around, at this post, the song mentioned BN. now i have to sing that song again after reading anwar’s evidence and also RPK’s post ‘are kedah and selangor next?‘
in anwar’s evidence:
He told parliament how Lim Soo Nee, PKR’s state representative for Kulim agreed to be “bait” and worked together with the Anti-Corruption Agency (now called the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission) to secure evidence of alleged bribery attempts made by agents of Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid to entice a defection.
Mahadzir is the former menteri besar of Kedah.
Mahadzir’s agents were alleged to have offered up to RM5 million for a defection, Anwar claimed.
RPK mentioned that RM200 million had been allocated for BN to buy and bribe PR reps.
Five Pakatan Rakyat State Assemblypersons from Kedah have already met the higher echelons of Umno and have given their undertaking to cross over en bloc once the numbers enable Barisan Nasional to form the new government in Kedah. RM100 million has been allocated to the Kedah exercise and those crossing over are going to be well rewarded.
[…]
Even Hee Yit Fong, the State Assemblywoman who had been with DAP for 20 years, crossed over for money. She has thus far received RM15 million from Vincent Tan of Berjaya fame. She will probably be paid another RM10 million once the dust settles. It seems she needed the money to bail out her husband who was heavily in debt. This was the same situation with Lee Lam Thye who was forced to leave DAP so that he could bail out his wife from her gambling debts. Barisan Nasional, of course, helped settle all his wife’s debts once he ‘abandoned his cause’ and turned pro-establishment.

Anyway, while Pakatan Rakyat figures out how to defend Kedah and Selangor from the RM200 million onslaught by Barisan Nasional, read Dr Shad Faruqi’s take on the Perak crisis.
then i notice at the blog of selvarajasomiah he mentioned someone from penang as BN’s ‘buying over’ agent:
I know of a chap by the name of Mansur Sultan from Bayan Baru, Penang who received RM300,000 by way of TT into his Bank Islam account in Penang, recently. The money came in from a bank in Putrajaya. This RM300k was in fact the 1st payment out of the RM6 million for the ”buying over” of 6 Assemblymen from the Pakatan Rakyat Kedah State Government. Yes, total RM6 million for 6 Pakatan Rakyat Wakil Rakyats from Kedah to cross over to Barisan National and 5% down payment already paid.
ok, all together now… everybody let’s sing…..
money money money
no surprise
it’s BN’s world
money money money
what to do
it’s BN’s world!
see, BN has the money so can entice reps from PR to jump whereas poor anwar has no money he can’t entice BN reps to jump. not forget anwar also does not have the power to act as gangster, to threaten people, as the report from malaysiakini ‘anwar reveals evidence bribe attempt‘ said so:
“Tan had told me that he was threatened many times to defect and he got frustrated with Mahadzir for his attempts.
“So he told Mahadzir to stop such acts. The week after, he received three bullets,” claimed Anwar, while showing the picture of the bullets to the House.
[…]
Anwar also spoke of three police reports lodged by former Bukit Selambau assemblyman V Arumugam.
The reports were lodged over various harassments including an alleged threat that he could end up like former Lunas state representative Joe Fernandez if he persisted in his political activities. Fernandez died after being shot three times in 2000.
[…]
He further said that the “defection series” had involved a “pattern of kidnappings, threats and bribes that involved Umno leaders right to the top to the deputy prime minister’s office”,
gosh! bullets… death threat… kidnapping… didn’t i say malaysia is a gangster state?
oh double gosh! ‘umno leaders right to the top of the DPM office’!! the DPM who is going to be PM soon. die die die! we are all doomed! 🙁
