Can you give the direction from the Kuan Yin Temple or the St. George Church? I am totally disoriented when I look at your map.

i thought the map is very clear (and very detailed) and should be easily understand.
the kuan yin temple is just next to the chinese town hall.
the st george church is just next to the sekolah hutching (hutching school).
all these are famous landmarks, and the map can’t include all, but if one is a true penangite (born and bred), knowing one of those landmarks, you’ll should know the others.
the map, btw, is not done by me, but from the office of the dewan sri pinang (govt. office).
anyway, later i’ll also show the roads maps as found on the internet.

Dear Lucia,
Anything else I can assist with apart from the posting in my blog?

Dear Kim Lai,
If you are coming from the Kuan Yin temple, head towards the law courts and church (both are on 1 way roads), you will have to turn left at the end as its a one-way road. Once left, keep right and loop around the courts (Convent Light Street should be on your left once past the bend). Once past CLS, keep straight (courts on your right all the time).
Once you see Bank Negara on your right, you are very close and should start looking for parking. You will not miss the Esplanade as it is an open field (except for the structures they put up for the now kaput tennis stuff).
Hope it helps and see you there.
