they love a dead convert

… but not when he/she is alive.

yes, that’s got to be it. if not, what else? why when the person after converting, they couldn’t care less about him but after he was dead, immediately they will come to claim the body and say that he is a muslim. waahh… only when the person is dead, they come to acknowledge he is muslim? what happen after he was converted? no visit to him to see if he was leaving the muslim life? no guidance to him on his newly found faith as a muslim?

(note: i find out this thought of mine was mentioned in the family’s appeal for justice – which i’m putting up on another post – was under no. 14 iv)

ok by ‘they’ here i’m sure you now who i mean. none other than those zealous extremist authorities (from the jabatan islam and from the syariah court), and ‘he’ here, well previously it had been others she and others he but right now i meant the latest case of the late gan eng gor from seremban.

yep, just like in the famous case of the late moorthy and many other cases of ‘invasion of the body snatchers’ (only in malaysia!), once again, we are confronted with this sad issue.

you must read the blog of the late gan eng gor’s daughter in law to get some inside stories.

another family’s blog

her latest post was forwarded to me by lilian… with lots of attachment as proof that the gan couldn’t have converted. there were several documents from the hospital and doctors to prove that for 2 years he had been bed-ridden, can’t move, can’t speak – this was the exact words on one of the document: (as picture seen here) – "speak not distinctly, mental confusion, emotional instability"

then there were several documents showing his conversion but of which the family had highlighted some discrepancies on it. for example, 2 documents had date alteration, 1 has no signature, 1 show his old IC being used when he already had a new IC (mykad).

i find something interesting in the ‘ikrar memeluk agama islam’ (declaration of conversion to islam) form. it says:

i ___________ ic no./pasport no. __________ mengaku dengan sebenarnya dan percaya dengan fikiran yang waras bahawa agama islam adalah sebaik-baik agama. oleh itu_____

notice the part i highlighted? ‘fikiran yang waras‘ – which means ‘with a sound mind’, right? but the document from the doctors clearly stated ‘mental confusion’, ’emotional instability’  (as i stated above), so how can he had ‘fikiran yang waras’ when he converted?

i feel that the family ought to pursue this matters as i feel they have enough proof to prove discrepancies in the conversion papers and how gan could not have converted in his condition.

i’m highlighting this in support for the family. they hope bloggers would highlight this matter to make many people aware of the injustice done to them. i only put up 2 of the documents here as all the documents are in big files and will not be readable if reduce the size. if any of you want to have a look at the documents, i would be glad to email them to you.

i am going to have the appeal for justice from the family (as i did mentioned above – the daughter in law’s latest post) on a separate post.
