bad, bad, rude, boy!!

… that is our ‘esteemed’ jerai MP from BN, bad-rud-din. believe it or not? no, not a small school boy, but a matured adult who is one of those who run our country.  being rude and immatured, he doesn’t sounds like a man! thus my reference to him as boy instead.

he insulted the disabled persons! my penang friend, peter tan, who is in wheelchair, was angry! so much so that he wrote a letter to the editor of NST, which then was highlighted by jeff ooi. he wanted badruddin-in to retract his statement and apologised.

this is the same bad-rude-in who used a foul language when his colleague, mokthar, MP for kinabatangan made the infamous ‘bocor’ remark. this is the same MP who once shouted something about if you don’t like it here, get out of the country. and there’s more… read on.

while many people take offence to the part of this bad boy mentioning about god punishing karpal singh (bloggers mostly mentioned it), they overlook another part. let’s see what he said, as reported by malaysiakini:

"i used the foul word because i was defending my race and country. you were attacking my race, and that’s why god has taught you a lesson by putting you in a wheelchair."

notice the reason he gave for using a foul language? "defending my race"!! goodness! the race thing again!! so it is ok to use foul language when one is defending one’s race? reminds us of the famous son-in-law, khairy, isn’t it with his infamous "one should not apologise when one is defending his own race." so i guess we’ll never see bad-rude-in apologised over this ‘punishment from god’ remark too.

to jog your memory, the bad rude boy during the UMNO’s 55th general assembly, had said this…

“Umno is willing to risk lives and bathe in blood in defence of race and religion”.

…while waving a may 13 book. he was giving a warning not to question malay’s rights. "if you do, may 13 will happen" his waving of the book coupled with that warning tells us that.

of course, being a UMNOputera MP, he got away with it. scary eh? oops no, not scary but a reality. UMNOputera uttered such a remark, it’s ok but if others esp. opposition uttered such a remark, it will be deemed seditious.

coming back to the part about god punishing karpal because he is in a wheelchair, as i commented in peter tan’s blog, i never believe in god punishing people. god will never punish us. whatever misfortune befallen us, came through the doing of our own, not because god wants to punish us.

unfortunately, i do come across quite a number of people who believe in god’s punishing someone because s/he is a sinner… even my church friends. for example we used to have a mr x who was very fierce and forever creating problems for everyone. then suddenly one day he was found to be stricken with cancer. one of my friend then said "see lah, all the trouble he caused us. now god is punishing him with cancer".

this kind of perception is very wrong indeed. very very wrong. no matter how bad a person is, when a misfortune happened to her/him, you should never say it is god’s punishment. as peter said being disabled is part of life and it can happen to anyone, and so is illness like cancer. we should never ever blame god.

coming up next: the bad-rude-in response (no time to blog now as past 2.00am!)
