thank you, nazri…
… for confirming that the judiciary is not independent.
yep, the de facto law minister again put his food in his mouth when he declared "because i am his minister" when asked why did the CJ whispered to him his (CJ) denial that he was not the person involved in the lingam tape controversy.
way to go, nazri!
i guess many of us are already familiar with all the nonsense that spouts from the mouth of this minister in the prime minister department. if you had missed martin jalleh’s excellent piece on the nazri guy, go and read about it now. the stupid things that he said were all there.
now why was nazri’s "because i am his minister" response showed that the judiciary is not independent? simple. by that response nazri ws telling us that the CJ is answerable to him a a minister! lulu did a better job of explaining about – in her SSS way (short, sweet, simple), so do go and read ya. see also aliran’s latest media statement "I’m his minister" – where is judicial independence, nazri?
ok another silly statement from nazri just a few days before this "i am his minister" bodoh statement, it was regarding the case of the murdered nuzin. he had said that the parents should be charged if found to be negligent because "the law is still the law. we have to act. nobody can be exempted." er… well, no, the statement by itself is not silly of course. hey we all want to uphold the law and yes nobody can be exempted from the law BUT coming from the mouth of nazri, an UMNOputera, a BN minister, it is so laughable. so many of them UMNOputera ministers and EXCOs (and some MCA and MIC ministers) had escaped the law so many times!! just look at the two top persons for example – the no. 1 and no. 2 UMNO youth chief first. then what happened to all those UMNOputera who utter so many racist and seditious comments at the last UMNO general assembly? no action taken against them! they were exempted? what happened to the datuk councillor who build an illegal mansion? what about the port klang fiasco? why no action against anyone? oh yeah, what happened the the perak mufti, who was not charged for the SMS he spread?
there were many other instances of course to show the very obvious double standard the government practised. it is already clear that there are 2 sets of laws in our country – one for UMNO and one for the rest. are you contend to live with that? if not, voice your displeasure through the ballot box! i can’t call ‘vote for a change’ as sadly, whatever it is, BN will still win the coming election, BUT you can show your displeasure by denying them the 2/3 majority. if you have not register yet, please do so fast! check your registration here, if you think you did.
