protest against toll hike

well as i predicted regarding the toll hike, there’ll be a demonstration, true enough… there will be one (alternative reading) come 7 jan. 2007. well, it’s their right to want to protest but i see nothing much will come out of it. they are expecting thousands of people. wow! that many eh. i can just imagine what would happen during the protest.
opposition parties and consumer groups discussed about the protest in a close-door discussion last night in KL. why, they even form a ‘protest kenaikan’ committee (protest against the hike).
ok, let’s wait for 7 jan… and watch the interesting show unfold.

Ironically, these protect will give Samy Vellu the chance to get the govt to compensate more to the concessionaires while at the later time, they will still get the rise – win-win all the time.

Well if there is no protest it will be taken as you all welcome it ! The difference with a protest may in the short run mean pushing the hike to later dates -but if it was long enough to see a change of government then…..

anyway as you had stated here, the protest will only cause the hike date to be postpone later, see, it won’t stop the hike at all.Â
