let’s do the malaysian shuffle!

ah 1, 2, 3, 4 – 4 steped in
ah 1, 2, 3, 4 – 4 stepped out
ah 1, 2, 3 – 3 move around
in in in in,
out out out out,
move around! move! move!
yes, everybody, it’s the ministers shuffle.

now, presenting thier deputies shuffle:
step in in in in in in in (6 times)
then you step out out out (3 times)
and moved around 8 times

that’s the bolehland’s cabinet reshuffle for you. 3 promotions and 1 new face (the 4 steps in) for ministers and 4 ministers kicked out (the 4 steps out – actually only 2, the other 2 resigned) and 3 ministers moved portfolios. as for deputy ministers, 5 promotions and 1 new face (the 6 steps in), 3 kicked out (the 3 kicked out) and 8 moved.

these 2 long serving big guns that we expect to be taken out, are still in. arggh!

horrors! the AP controversy queen and the blame god king still in? and you know what? pak lah said rafidah had been retained because he needs her experience and expertise in attracting investments into the country and handling global trade negotiations. ok lah, granted she is so pandai to talk and pujuk international people to woo investments, but that is because she is well… experienced… and why that… because she had been in that position for so long. that doesn’t mean other people, new blood, can be as equally pandai as her if given a chance, esp. after they (the new blood) are as long as her! think, pak lah, think!

as for the ayo-yo sami guy, well i guess what i read about what someone said is true – his ass will always be in the cabinet… not until his own people (MIC) kicked him out. if he is no longer MIC president, then the chance of him being out of cabinet is more.

i notice that in this same sun2surf article, pak lah didn’t mentioned about why michael lee toyad was sacked. why ah? he is one of the few non muslim minister and one of the very few christian minister. why sack him? i (and i read comments in blogs, quite a few people) thought he had been doing well with his job.

wait! there are more horrors! whaddya know, noh omar the then internal security minister is now deputy education minister! remember noh? noh’s “if you don’t like the laws of the country, don’t come and visit” noh. the noh who kept mum the identity of the woman in the squat-gate scandal. ge,, education minister? we already have a keris waving minister in the education department, and now this? is ketuk ketampi (ear-squat) going to be compulsory punishment for school children soon?

the other horror is the zam zam guy (zainudin maidin) being promoted from deputy to minister as information minister. i think many a times we had heard this guy putting his foot in his mouth by uttering silly things. i had blog about him a few times, but i just can’t manage to find the links. anyone can remember what are the silly things he said?

this cabinet reshuffle is a true disappointment to many malaysians, i’m sure. as lim kit siang noted, only 2 had been sacked and there’s no new blood, but i guess most people would be more disappointed that a few old (as oppose to new) ministers have not been dropped. what to do, as some would say – pak lah has no guts.
