ex DPM sue ex PM

remember our ex PM, dr m talking about rights at the suhakam conference not too long ago? i had blog about it too. well, now he’s talking about rights again…

“i don’t know about it, if he wants to sue me, it is his right to do so.”

what is it and who is he? ‘it’ is a RM100 million defamation suit. ‘he’ is ex DPM, anwar.

and what made anwar want to sue dr m? it was what dr m said during the suhakam speech, which is:

“i cannot have a person who is like that in my cabinet who may succeed and become the prime minister. “imagine having a gay prime minister — nobody would be safe.”

many people know i have no love for anwar at all, thus i’m not defending him. well i don’t know if anwar is gay or is not gay (though he openly admit – of course – he is not gay) but to me, even IF he is gay, it was wrong of dr m to say the above. why? because i believe that a person’s sexual orientation (which is something very personal) should not be used to measure his/her capability for being a PM.

oh and i wonder what dr m meant by “nobody would be safe”. shouldn’t it be “the men wouldn’t be safe”? haha.
