i know. i’m late in writing about the PPS bash. well, i just returned from KL today at 4.00pm. then i need time to edit and upload the photos. i did not take as many photos as i thought i would! i was over whelmed by the big turnout. you know, the minute i reached home after my bus journey from KL, the first thing i did was to switch on the computer and read the write-up of the bash from the others. many interesting reads. i was reading here and there for over an hour and then decided i had better unpack and freshen up first before continuing reading, and possibly commenting. i’m so addicted, see!

bob was nice enough to offer to give me a lift to charlie’s place, the venue of the bash. on the way, he picked up ireneq, messy christian and his wife.

we were there at about 7.40pm and there were only about 20 people at that time. slowly as the time ticked away, more and more people turned up. it was great to meet face to face many of the bloggers whom i had been reading their blogs. there were many others i did not get a chance to talk to. of course not, seeing that there were more than 80 people present! there were quite a number of bloggers who can recognise me… well i have my photo up in my blog, so i guess that make it easy for people to recongise me.

charlie’s place restaurant at jln. tangsi in KL, the venue for the PPS bash. it was a nice restaurant for a family or friends get-together but too small for such a big group, i think. the inside is rather small and cramped (near the bar) but luckily people can dine outside the restaurant at the garden.

finally get to meet face to face one of my fav. blogger, huai bin of sixthseal. he looks exactly the same as in his photo… but i didn’t expect him to be small size (as kenny said, he is double huai bin’s side!). well, he is my ‘kaki’ then since i’m also small sized. it looks like i’m the shortest blogger there too!

jeff won the ping of the year for the post ‘Screenshots vilified on Berita frontpage‘ . (i voted for peter tan‘s ‘bloggers are moron‘). the first person he thanked for the award was kallimulah hassan! (NST/berita editor).
the blog of the year went to kenny sia. (i voted for viewtru)
the neophyte of the year went to simon. (i voted for the mudpond)

seemed like all those i voted for did not win. never mind, everyone are winners in their own field, as aiz rightly said so in his opening speech before the award started. the awards, he said is to recognise the works of our peers in the blogosphere.

the birthday cake. kenny sia, (right) being just awarded the best blog of the year, was given the honour together with aiz (left) to blow off the candles. i didn’t get a chance to taste the cake though as we left after the cake ceremony.

aizuddin and me holding the signed t-shirt. aiz is the man behind PPS and of course the organiser of this bash. kudos to his wonderful work. if not for him no PPS, if not for PPS, we wouldn’t know of each other blogs, if not for PPS, there wouldn’t be a gathering like this one and we wouldn’t have met each other. so indeed banyak TERIMA KASIH to aiz.

thanks to all those who attended the PPS bash. i’m glad to have met all of you though some we only exchange hand-shake and smiles. my one day trip to KL to specially attend the bash was well rewarded that i get to meet so many bloggers and had such great fun. oh special thanks to sharizal too for being a busy busy F&B manager of the day, who had to stand in to be a waiter too. of course finally, the biggest thanks goes to aizuddin… the one who started, maintain, managed………
