rotation basis for penang’s CM?
the bukit mertajam UMNO division had proposed a rotation system for the post of chief minister in penang.
the divison chief, senator datuk musa sheikh fadzir said this was done successfully in sabah, so why can’t it be done in penang? and he also said that this rotation system would prove tolerance and understanding between the barisan nasional (BN) component parties.
gee… does it has to be ‘i have, you also have’ to prove tolerance and understanding? in this case like since gerakan has a CM, so must UMNO and MIC too, then only there is tolerance and understanding.
i find this rather odd. shouldn’t it be instead like you should be understanding and thus tolerant enough to accept the fact that the post of CM comes from only one party?
and what is odder (oops. ok no such word eh) was that the division chief said he proposed this idea because:
“the malays in penang needed protection especially in the economic sector. as an example, he said, most of the malay entrepreneurs could not get contracts from factories in the state because there were not given the opportunity to break into the market.”
hmm… what was he insinuating?
