this year’s theme, ‘women, girls, & HIV/AIDS’ was chosen because this group of people have become particularly vulnerable to the disease through other people’s high-risk behaviours. quote from the star’s article ‘the domino affect’.

hey, what do you know… to government is going to ban smoking in workplaces! such good news! me fully support. (and someone said i’m anti establishment).

two days ago i was just blogging about smoking, welcoming the news that the human resources ministry might make smoking an occupational hazard, and what a nice surprise it was for me to be greeted in the morning with the headline ‘no smoking at work’. hopefully the ban would be enforced, and not just some ‘cakap angin’.

just discover something interesting. no no, apart from the fact of me being anti society woman, but it is related though.

if we are pro-US, those anti-US people would suddenly become anti-us! (us as in we, ‘kami’, not united states, so we can also say anti-we instead).

hear ye! hear ye! i’m an anti society woman! so said someone i have not heard of at all until now. someone i never know exist in the blogosphere.

really, i have not heard of fade0 at all until yesterday evening when i went to rajan’s blog and saw this post. it so tickled me so much the label heap on me. anti society woman. lucia lai, the anti society woman of mental jog. i say! it does has a nice ring to it, don’t you think so? since everybody’s are welcome to thier own opinion, fade0 is most heartily welcome to form whatever opinion he has on me.

long time i have not blog on where i stay - the land of good food - penang! today i will do so.

first of all, some frivalous grumblings. why is it ‘penang’ is penang in english but it is ‘pulau pinang’ in bahasa? have you notice all the states in malaysia has the same names in both english and bahasa, the difference being only the spelling? then why is penang the exception? i feel that in bahasa, penang should remain ‘penang’, and not ‘pulau pinang’… or can it be just ‘pinang’?

whoa! i welcome this news indeed - ministry may make smoking occupational safety issue. hopefully it will be implemented. after all, we all know the dangers of smoking, and do you know, the latest research into smoking reveal a shocking fact… that smoking is to be blame for 10 types of cancer.

some of you might remember my post on smoking, touching on the government’s launched of the ‘tak nak’ campaign. there, i had mentioned i’m anti smoking and gave one main reason why so.

on saturday, i was at two wedding function. the first one was a simple buffet lunch, with only about 80 persons present. it was a lunch immediately after the wedding mass in church. i don’t know the bride/groom and their parents personally but the mother of the bride is an active church members and she invited a few of us church workers. well the food was ok… the usual buffet where there are 5 dishes, excluding fried rice, fried mee, fried bee hoon. and ice kacang and deserts too.
