hijacked blog

i first read about this news in dr liew’s blog on 6 oct. then on 9 oct., reader freddy toh informed me and jeff ooi, and jeff ooi then blog on it. then another reader, dreaming, asked me whether does that make me fear my blog being hijacked via comments under the post ‘dust settled’. read my response there.

now, if you go to ailinchia’s blog, you’ll be greeted with a huge pic of a cigar chomping mexican man who looks like a thug. and i see at the comments, there are many people talking in bahasa and also hokkien. i am puzzled. are there friends of ailin? if they talked bahasa and hokkien they must be malaysians but they sound rude and crude too, so they could not be friends of ailin.

it seems that this blog hijacker managed to infiltrate ailin’s blog via blogger comments. read about it here via doc’s comments in jeff’s screenshot.

i’m glad that i’m not using blogger’s comments! i did thought of switching over to bloggers comments from haloscan comments 2 days ago when i found out that bloggers comments also provide email notification of comments made. (haloscan did, but must be premium member, of which i am). well, now i won’t!! but that doesn’t mean of course i’m safe from my blog being hijacked… but as i respond to dreaming it it will happen, it will happen; if it won’t happen, it won’t. que sera sera.
