what’s the big deal?

here you have it… the big bold words that appeared on the star’s paper dated 13 sept. – no deal with anwar (for hardcopy, online version had this heading instead – umno president has no intention to bring unwar back’).

pak lah said that he wanted to emphasised he had not made any deal to bring anwar back to umno to end all the kopi-tiam talk that he had a deal with anwar to secure his release from prison.

i find this strange. yes i did thought of a deal too but the deal i am thinking of is more like er… the opposite… “i release you but don’t ever join umno”. or “i release you but don’t come back to politics”.

in the meantime, anwar had backed up pak lah’s statement that there was no deal between them. he further added that he will “resolved to focus on unity of malaysians in the interest of political stability, economic growth and progress for all malaysians.” wow. how nice sounding. how does he plan to do that i wonder. unity of all malaysians? i thought he’s going to concentrate on unity of malays. oh i forgot… must made it nice sounding, so unity of malaysians sounds better than unity of malays.

coming back to the deal, even if there is really a deal, of course both side won’t admit to it, right? there might be a deal but on what conditions, we won’t know. if there was no deal, good, the judiciary is working independantly… or did they? if they didn’t, that means there was a deal. tell you what, why not we take a deal of the card and see. ace of spade says there was a deal. ace of club says no. well, *shrugs* see who cares. what’s the big deal anyway if there was one?
