UNGRATEFUL

The birds soared high
in splendor and might
… in silent prayer
The beasts bowed
in humility and respect
… in silent prayer
The trees bent
in awe and wonder
… in silent prayer
But we human
in our quests for
knowledge, power and wealth
we, the so-called
intelligent beings
forgot our due to
the omnipotence, the almighty,
the one who was, is and
will always be
…God.
