typo mistake on bill

with reference to my earlier post on the ridiculous way off mighty expensive bill from telekom, the latest news now is that telekom said it was a typo mistake and firmly deny they were at fault.

the RM806,400,000,000.01 as reported earlier was actually RM80.640000000000001 so said telekom, and it was their debt collection agency at fault.

“Unfortunately there were two errors in the letter, namely the address and the amount. The typo was the additional 12 zeroes followed by a ‘1’ in the original letter by the debt collection agency.

typo was the additional 12 zeroes followed by a ‘1’? but that was not the only typo lah. what about taking off the dot after the 80 and shifting 6 next to 80, then putting in a comma – thus making it too RM806,400,000,000.01.

well, whatever, i find it strange telekom quickly shift the blame to the debt collection agency. telekom employed them, right, so shouldn’t telekom be held responsible too?
