remedy for fish bone stuck in throat?
er…. it’s not fish bone actually but the shell of a crab! normally we heard of people who have fish bone stuck in their throat. it is more common than the shell of a crab so i use the ‘fish bone’ as heading instead. haha.
anyway, last week, on 8 sept. thursday in fact, while i was eating a whole crab (boiled), i don’t know how a small piece of its shell get lodged in my throat. i had try various methods to get rid of it but the stubborn shell is still there. help! how do i get rid of it?
some friends suggested eating banana or a ‘ball’ of rice… but must not chew the banana/rice but just swallow it whole, hoping it will take the shell along. i have not try this… simply because i know i can’t swallow it whole! i have a fear of swallowing without chewing/biting lah. why, even pills like panadol, i can’t swallow it but have to bite it before swallowing it.
another suggestion was suck a lime and hopefully the sour taste might dissolve the shell… er… can ah like this? i heard this before but usually it is for fish bone, but mine is crab shell. how ah?
well so far it hasn’t really cause pain yet but once in a long while when i swallow saliva, i do feel some pain. i am really at a lost what to do. if the shell still insists to make its abode in my throat after a week, i think i have to seriously consider doing something.
anyone know of any remedy?
