remembering the dead
(wanted to blog about the road signs in penang hoo haa but don’t have time. will do so tomorrow. in the meantime blog on what happened yesterday).
yes, yesterday, was our catholic church’s all souls day, a special day in the year, where we remember and visit the graves of our dearly departed ones to offer prayers. not that we don’t remember or don’t visit them all the other 364 days of course, but yesterday was, well, a day for ALL to come together as a community. just like how you love your mother so much but on mother’s day is a special day for you to show the love.
ok since i’m running late, i’ll just post pictures here, with short comment. all pictures taken yesterday when i went to the western road cemetery to pay respect to my father, grandparents, uncle and aunty.
the first picture shows the gave of my grandpa and my dad. the name (and other details) of my dad is fading away. must go back to write the name. (not joseph – joseph was my grandpa).
the next picture shows the facade of the columbarium which is situated near the entrance. followng pictures shows the niches inside the columbarium. as you can see some are transparent where you can see the urns inside; most are all covered up. the ones that are brown coloured covered are reserved niches.
