they deserved the pay rise, so he said
‘pay rise for government servants’. they deserved it, so say our PM.
wah! how sweet.
sign of election approaching, surely. you know lah, bodek them sikit sikit and they’ll vote for you for sure.
“Everyone will get the pay rise – only the quantum will differ. We want to narrow the gap between those who earn more and those who earn less.
“Right now, the gap is too wide and this might not be a good thing because the higher income group can afford more than the lower income group and this could be a problem,” he told reporters after opening the World Halal Forum 2007 here yesterday.
in what way could this be a problem? silly. of course there are those who earns more and those who earns less based on their achievement/qualification/experience. it’s only natural there are higher income group and lower income group – and of course the spending power of these two groups differ. of course those with higher income can afford more.
sometimes i swear the PM says the most dumbestt thing e.g. regarding EPF contributions of those above 55:
“I will go along with what the EPF will like to do,” said Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
He said those aged 55 and above who were still in the workforce had “already performed their service, earned their income and made their contributions” to the fund.
“There must be a good reason why EPF wants to reduce the contribution,” he told reporters yesterday after opening the World Halal Forum 2007.
well he had already gave the good reason there (highlighted)… er… good? silly more like it, at least according to aisehman.
