article 11 forum in johor

learned from howsy’s blog that the forum ‘federal constitution: protection for all’ by article 11 forum will be held in johor this time.

Date : Saturday, 22 July 2006
Time : 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Venue: Hotel Selesa
Jalan Dato Abdullah Tahir / Jalan Tebrau,
Johor Bahru

and here i am still waiting for it to be held in penang. read somewhere that many hotels in penang dare not offer thier places as venue for the forum for fear of what happened on 14 may, may be repeated. how sad. instead of hotels, why not look for other places, like community halls or associations? well i guess even they might be scared!

i guess now the main problem of the organisers is to get a venue… then next come the police… or is it the main problem is the police? maybe the police ‘advise’ them not to hold the forum (like the last time how they ‘advise’ them to stop the forum just 15 mins into it). maybe the police again said they can’t guarantee the attendees’ safety so discouraged them from holding it. ayoh! why like that? the forum was held in melaka and ipoh already without incident and now going to johor… hope no incident too!… why in penang, it can’t be held?
