29 death in a day – highest so far

regarding my blog on the 8 golden rules to observe on the road, i was mentioning about speed trap cameras, that now the government had decided not to hide these cameras anymore but to reveal to everyone where these cameras are, and a website was mentioned. however when i went there, i see nothing. anyway, a few days later, i notice in jacky’s hot-screensaver blog, he posted about the locations of the cameras. have a look at his post, ‘speed trap alert‘ for the locations.

in that 8 golden rules post of mine, i also mentioned about the transport minister lamenting that last year there were 17 fatalities in one day and his wish was that this year, it would be 4. fat chance, i thought to myself… and sure enough… it was even worst. this year, the highest no. of fatalities a day was 29! and do you know what? this was the highest single day death toll over a holiday period! shocking eh… or not?

in the meantime, the semi value guy proposed that only veteran drivers should be allowed to drive bus so as to reduce the high rate of the number of accidents.
