snap! and kena summon.
i guess many of you have heard of the pandu cermat website from the road safety department? you know, the place where you are asked to snap photos of traffic offenders and send the photos to their site, then the police will take action.
well, it was reported that soon the first 40 batch of traffic offenders, from the photos posted there, will be receiving summons soon. good! serve them right! thanks to the candid camera photographers.
updated: latest article: gotcha!
when i went to the pandu cermat photo gallery, i notice most of the photos were of illegal parking. i guess it’s easy to take photos of illegal parking since the car is stationery and there is no one around! next to illegal parking, is using emergency lane. now, this is one of the grouses i complained so much about once (blog on it i mean). i was so geram at people who cut queue by driving on the emergency lane. since usually they zoom past, it’s not easy to catch them on photo… unless it is heavy traffic jam, when, while they are at the emergency lane, they still have to stop. although i ride a motorbike (my chaly) but everyday i travel in my sister’s car to and fro work, thus i know the frustration of car drivers.
another thing i complained so much is when i was using my chaly… at parking lots. quite a number of those damn car drivers like to block motorbike parking lots. either although there are vacant space for parking my chaly, but i can’t enter because an idiots had parked his/her car there OR after parking, when i wanted to remove my bike, i can’t go out because some morons had parked his/her car in front of the lot where i parked my chaly.
this happened many times at citibank. i goes to citibank for office purpose. i notice that at the bike’s parking lot on the left (facing citibank), cars will usually parked there in front of the parking lot. see, here is the proof!
and this car too.
as you can see from the first picture, towards the right, partly hidden is the bike’s parking lot… and this read car and a van were parked right in front of the lot! yes, they did leave some space, but it was a small space, and i found difficulty in manoeuving my bike out of the small space. maybe to some who are more experts or strong (can lift the bike), they will have no problem with it, but not me.
another place where this happened is at beginning of king street (near bishop street), where my favourite ah sai’s koay teow th’ng stall is situated. i go there once a week without fail. this parking lot is next to a coffee shop which is at junction of bishop street and king street. there were so many times i see cars blocking the parking lot. twice already i couldn’t move out at all. once, it was after several minutes and tons of sweat that i mange to manoeuvre my bike out, and the other time was, the driver who was seated at the side of the coffee shop, where he can see his car, saw me trying to get out, so he came to remove his car.
yes i notice those who park there, usually will choose the seat in the coffee shop at the lorong, where they can see their cars. i guess so that when traffic police came, they could quickly run out to remove their cars. because of this, i have to say that i dare not take photos of the cars parked there. i am scared that the driver might see me taking photos of his/her car and came out scolding me! haha. ok ok i’m not brave. but i suppose one day if i near breakdown from frustration, i will gather courage to take the photos!
