how safe and clean are our hospitals?

the new straits times front-paged yesterday that at least 25 doctors, nurses and staffs in hospital suffered from tuberculosis last year.

is is shocking to note that out of the country’s 135 hospitals, only three have sufficient air-sterilising equipment, while another three have limited equipment resources?

this reminds me of what two friends told me why the don’t like to go to the hospital (for visiting i mean). one said that she doesn’t like to go to the hospital because it is a very gloomy place. all the people are sick and many look depressed, which kind of made her depressed too, so she don’t like visiting hospital. another said, whenever she step into a hospital she smell funny smell!
