a riot at PPS bash! and review of the top 3

yippee! i bought my bus ticket to KL yesterday, so it is very confirmed that i’ll be at the PPS 2nd anniversary bash. ill be leaving on 23rd morning (8.30am bus) and probably reach KL by 12.30pm or so. where am i going to stay in KL? not sure yet. try booking comfort inn online which is in cangkat bkt. bintang but there was no response. i had stayed there before and it cost only RM50 per day. small room without TV but that’s ok since all i need is a bed and bathroom.

my problem is how to get from puduraya bus station to the hotel (let’s say it is comfort inn) and from hotel to the PPS bash venue, charlie’s place. some people say that i can walk from pudu to cangkat bkt. bintang. i don’t know. i’m not familiar with KL thus not sure of the road there… might get lost! as for from hotel to the bash venue, i’m hoping that frangipanix is going to the bash, thus she can pick me up. if not, i’ll have to take taxi. as for returning to the hotel from charlie’s place, i’m sure with many bloggers there, someone would be kind enough to give me a lift… adakah?

how exciting! only 3 days to go and i’ll be meeting so many other bloggers, KL bloggers especially. i have not met any KL bloggers before… except frangipanix of course whom i just met last week. oh but i had met jeff ooi of screenshot and bob of bobjots before BUT that was a long long time ago before they started blogging. it was through the sangkancil and beritamalaysia newsgroups that we get to know each other, and there had been a few gatherings for beritamalaysia members here and there at that time.

well, i’m sure looking forward to the PPS anniversary bash as i know i’ll enjoy myself very much. why not, seeing that we have such a fun loving bunch of bloggers around who are going to attend the bash. why, all the top 3 contenders for the PPS blog of the year themselves are such farneee guys.

viewtru – the one we know who always like to write about that 3-letter word which begin with s and end with x. and who can ever forget his 5-star paper and columnist, lai ma, viewtru’s equivalent of ‘dear abby’, star reporter, the reporter, dick tomatoski and of course his hot babe. oh viewtru, if you are going for the bash, are you bringing hot babe? or don’t tell me, you are bringing lai ma!

then we have kenny sia – the one who provides us with laugh not only with his writings but with his pictures too. i have to admit that i started reading kennysia blog late. i had seen kennysia’s name in PPS but i did not bother to read it. because of the name ‘sia’ i thought his blog has something to do with SIA – singapore airline! well it was his april fool joke post that made me hop over to read… and from there, i was suddenly hooked to his blog. this guy can really make you laugh until tears come out with his ‘photoshopped’ pictures, i tell you. well, take a look at the latest, where he humourously and sportingly wrote about the PPS awards. it was so hilarious to see the pictures of some of the PPS awards contenders superimposed on wrestlers.

finally we have the intellectual one – mack of brand new malaysian. unlike kenny, which i started reading late, i started reading mack the minute his blog was born. that’s right… via a link from jeff ooi. mack is totally different from viewtru and kenny as he writes on serious stuff concentrating on socio-politics, just like jeff ooi. however beneath his serious stuffs, he inject some humour in it, thus you won’t find it dull and dry. i heard good reviews from bloggers who attended the recent mid-valley KL bloggers meet-up that mack was such a funny person. one blogger described him as ‘a riot’!

ah… that’s the word i’m looking for. i’m sure the PPS 2nd annivesary bash at charlie’s place would be a RIOT! it has to be when more than 50 fun loving bloggers descended on charlie’s.

hey bloggers, let’s raid charlie on 23 june and turn it into a riot!
