cheaper broadband soon
cheaper and more efficient broadband services coming our way? so the report in NST says so.
the report says that there there will be a restructuring of the local broadband telecommunications service which will see
greater competition, as there will be more players in the industry.
it also mentioned that 300,000 broadband users currently subscribed to the internet broadband service offered solely
by telekom under its TMNet streamyx product.
hmm… i thought jaring already offer broadband? and also another company… what it is call… webbit (but not all over malaysia).
there seems to be so many complains on streamyx. i don’t know but to me, i have no problems so far. it’s satisfactory for me, no complains. only the first few days after i signed up, there was some problem but it was easily resolved and until now no problems.
i signed up for the RM66 unlimited package with 384k speed but later on had been upgraded to 512k FOC. now when i look at the price-list of the streamyx packcage, there is no more 384k.
well i hope with the restructuring, the ‘efficient service’ will also see an increase in the speed. perhaps we would all get 1MB even for the RM66 package? no more less than 1MB? but then if we have 1MB, it doesn’t necessarily mean the speed will always be at 1MB! many had complained that although they signed up for 512k, the speed they get is always less than 512k. as for me, i am not sure. i don’t bother to check it out. whatever speed i’m getting i’m already satisfied. uploading speed is fine too.
gosh, TMnet should be happy with me, an easy to please satisfying customer. 😉
