a new kind of kidnapping

imagine that! kidnapped before he was born! snatched from the mother’s womb!

this happened in colombo. a woman, angela cartagena who was 8 months pregnant, had just left the clinic when a female kidnapper approached her, on the pretext of offering her clothes for the unborn baby and something for her to drink. i suppose the drink must be spiked because, angela said that after she drank it, she felt her eyes heavy and the next thing she knew when she woke up she felt her belly was empty! police said a group of criminals had cut open her womb with a kitchen knife. apparently the female kidnapper had been arrested but police are still looking for the others.

i’ve heard of criminals cutting up people’s kidney when they are alive to sell the kidneys but this is the first time i heard of a baby being snatched before he was born. what a weird cruel world we live in.
