some of you already know this - 9 june is international webloggers day.

i notice in KL, someone is organising a bloggers gathering on that day. i was thinking what about penang? i’m thinking of organsing one. penang bloggers, what do you think? wanna meet up? ok at the moment, i’ll pick the date, time. place but later on if i have feedback, can always change the time/place. we’ll have to choose a place that is popular and easily accessible by car or bus. the only place i can think of is prangin mall. so what about the food court at prangin mall? no uppitty yuppie place like starbucks please. food court would be an appropriate place as it is not an ‘expensive’ place and it is big and spacious. anyway prangin mall food court being quite new, is relatively unknown yet, so there won’t be a big crowd there. anyway, the place is still open for suggestion.

… that was what the local corruption watchdog transparency international (TI)malaysia chairperson tunku abdul aziz tunku had label the penang outer ring road (PORR) project as (among other things). read further on the penang group asking pak lah to scrap PORR project.

the anti PORR committee had called on pak lah to scrap the PORR project. the PORR project had been shrouded in controversy ever since it was announced. topmost is on lack of transparency, which lead to corruption suspicion.

reference my blog on whipping demos in school, it seems that the prison dept. had decided to stop their demo tour in schools after the complaint from SUHAKAM. well, not only SUHAKAM complained of course, but others too, like a psychologist, dr edward chan, who said:

“I do agree to some extent that children may view this as a message that it is okay to use similar approach on their peers to prevent them from getting involved in criminal acts,”

ok, it’s the weekend, a light-hearted funny post.

a funny incident with chaly and me. this happened many years back when chaly first came home with me, when I was new riding on the road with chaly. at that time I was not very steady yet with chaly and was most of the shivering when going on the road with chaly.

what do you think of the caning demostrations held in the taiping SK school? they were also shown photographs of injuries sustained from the whipping.

i saw before those pictures in an exhibition in KOMTAR… an exhibition from the police of course. and they even show exhibits of the whips and that er… what you call it… where they strap the prisoner to be whipped to. yes the injuries looks gruesome. and the er… what you call it… looks so threatening.

i am very tired today, so there’ll be no post from me. tomorrow i might not have time to post too as i have to start on my new ‘work at home’ job.

you see, i have a friend who knows a friend, mr c, who starts a computer software company. (forest software solutions). he is chinese educated and not good in english, therefore he need someone to write an introductory page for his website, and my friend recommend him to me. all i need to do is the write up about the company, its products/services and so on. er… known as copywriting? they will do the designing. once the site is up, i’ll let you know the site and you can take a look at my amaterish work.

wow! i had discovered that now i can post picture directly to my blog using the ‘hello‘ software. (see post below). pretty easy to use too. this is good as i don’t have to upload my pictures on some photo hosting sites first. but of course i suppose there will be some disadvantages to it (to be discovered). one thing i notice i can only post the pic but cannot have a write up to go with the pic.
