psst! PAS passing into oblivion?

don’t worry. that’s just an exaggeration heading. of course PAS is not fading into oblivion since they still retain kelantan.

well since everybody seems to be talking about it, i figure i’d better blog on it too – why did PAS did so badly in the election? if you are a visitor to jeff ooi’s famous blog, screenshot, and you read the comments there made by visitors, you’ll get some answers there. especially at this thread tittled ‘PAS tense’, they were talking about WHY and HOW PAS lost.

most people, i think, see the WHY as PAS using religion to attack or blasphame their opponents (UMNO). as to the HOW of course most people think it’s not a fair polls. there had been gerrymandering going on that really made PAS lost. not only PAS but other opposition like DAP and keadilan were also victims of gerrymandering. at the malaysian voters union website someone had written a good piece on gerrymandering AND malapportionment .

so do you think if it had been a fair polls, PAS would not have lost so badly? while i have no love at all for PAS, i do like to see PAS retaining kelantan and do want to see hadi awang in parliament. parliament need the voice of PAS… another muslim voice against UMNO.

mark my words… the defeat of PAS doesn’t mean the end of political islam… because you see, UMNO had been for political islam too all the while, only thing they do it silently and subtly. sigh…….
