i have nothing to blog about today but seeing that today is 29 feb, a leap year that happened every 4 years, i had better say something. don’t wanna let this once-in-4-years day went by without a post.

er… actually ‘nothing to blog about’ is far from the truth indeed. i sure have lots to blog about… BUT no time. now i’m talking nonsense so i have time.

heard about this news from bernama from lone’s blog. since it is about penang and i’m a penangtite, i just have to blog about it in my blog. lone, hope you don’t mind eh that i steal your idea. well, folks, you can read lone’s blog on this subject when you click on ‘jogback’ below.

according to penang OCPD datuk othman talib. the “fights” and “riots” were part of police training in the run-up to the general elections.

gee, police training? how to control riots and chaos? does this means they are expecting riots? or are they subtly telling us if you don’t vote ‘them’, there’ll be riot?

the police were baffled how a patpong style vice den can exist in bandar sri damansara for 3 months without being detected. the police baffled? but are we baffled? this is bolehland and this is bolehland police. nothing baffles us. remember the saying ‘close one eye’, and remember with money (bribe) one can achieve anything. so what’s so baffling??? and i suppose we also don’t blink an eye when we heard crime like this (vice) was committed by an ex policeman.

on 21 feb, malaysiakini reporter yoon szu-mae asked is the subang jaya municipal council’s (MPSJ) new requirement that dog owners need to obtain prior written consent from neighbours before being granted a dog licence a double standard policy and signals a growing attempt towards islamisation?

DAP (democratic action party) selangor chairperson, ronnie liu seems to think so. he had issued a press statement calling on MPSJ to revoke this unfair double-standard condition relating to application for dog license.

some readers from malaysiakini thinks so, like badak bodoh why question MPSJ, why not cats too?

remember my blog on royal commission of police (the full name is such a mouthful!), and at comments, ali allah ditta posted a letter by kim quek who wrote to malaysiakini. well, yesterday there was another letter as interesting as kim quek, from sim kwang yang, a former DAP MP in malaysiakini entitled ‘who will police the police?’. I find that much of what he wrote there were very true indeed.

in the letter, he mentioned that the very fact the PM ‘needs a royal commission to investigate the police is a public admission that the internal mechanism for recruiting, training and disciplining police personnel has collapsed. it also means that the ministry of home affairs and the minister himself has failed.’

there is now a handphone ban for all civil servants working under the home ministry. these civil servants, esp. those manning service counters are prohibited from using the handphone during office hours.

no post again today (apart from the one below i mean) as today i feel sad after returning from a meeting. it was a meeting to celebrate the 70 years anniversary of the society of st vincent de paul. i was suppose to be the chairperson of the sub-committee but looks like i was not when someone else seems to be taking over. i had prepared some prayers and songs but all of them (save for one) were not used. i was hurt. hurt what i prepared were not used (save for one). hurt they have no trust/confidence in me. someone had nominated me to lead in the mass but a few of the others seems to have no confidence in me… that i would not do a good job. hurt. unhappy that it seems what a ‘top person’ suggested, goes. what ’someone’ said, others seems to agree with that person (but not me since i’m a small fry). in the end i had to take up a ‘no importance, behind the scene’ job - typing and preparing the booklet!
