come tomorrow, a new PM will emerge, and whaddya know… he’s a penangtite! yessiree, our new prime minister, datuk seri abdullah ahmad badawi (or also known as ‘pak lah’ was born in kepala batas, the mainland part of penang state. he had been refereed to as the illustrious son of penang (or rather kepala batas) according to the paper.

this brings back memory as i remember long ago i used to enjoy playing monopoly. in fact i grew up playing it. started playing it at age 10. when i was that age, it was just a fun game to me. all i ever thought of was to have ‘houses’ or ‘hotels’ on my properties so that i can tax my fellow gamers. at that time i had not learned yet the ’strategy’ of buying and selling. it was later on that as i grew up, that i picked up some skills on playing monopoly.

with reference to my post subject “anwar liked to terrorists?” dated 25 oct. i mentioned something about could it be a conspiracy, as like what international free anwar campaign (IFAC) think so.

well, on 27 oct. mgg pillai wrote an interesting article on this matter and hinted yes it was a conspiracy… to finally nail anwar.

the malaysian end of this elaborate conspiracy saw it an opportunity to put a nail in the political coffin of dato’ seri anwar.

came home late last night after attending a meeting in church. was back home at 10.45pm. and i realised that TV3 chinese movie featured 2 of my favourite kung fu stars, jet li and michelle yeoh, so plonked down the chair to watch it! during commercial break, quickly run for a shower and back to stare at the tv screen. wow! very nice show! i just love kung fu movies. and oh no, i missed the last episode of ‘the legend of arching hero’ last night!! help! anyone watch it? please please email me and tell me the ending!

soon going to be PM, datuk seri abdullah ahmad badawi or better known as pak lah had called on the public not to speculate who will be the deputy PM when he take over as PM.

apparently speculation of the next deputy PM would be defence
minister datuk seri najib tun razak, came about when there was this mural on the 4th floor of PWTC showing najib’s potrait placed directly under the potrait of pak lah.

pak lah seems annoyed at the speculation and said:

i do not have any influence over how the portraits are drawn or painted. we cannot make any assumption based on paintings.

yes it the ramadan month begins today and from today all muslim will start fasting.

do you know it is said that the good acquired through fast can be destroyed by these five things:

- the telling of a lie
- slander
- denouncing someone behind his back
- a false oath
- greed or covetousness

so ramadan is not only a month to fast from food but fast from being offensive!

have you heard that using chopsticks can be harmful? it may cause the disease known as osteoarthritis. this study was done by the boston university school of medicine. though the report stated that:

“The repetitive movement of pinching the chopsticks together to pick up food can cause joint problems in the fingers and hand”

have you heard? on 22 oct, an australian tv station, SBS dateline ran a story that the onternational institute of islamic thought (IIIT), of which datuk seri anwar ibrahim was one of its three directors, has been funding terrorist activities, including supporting islamic jihad.

Bernama carry the story here including a story on the party keadilan nasional denying it. also, at the malay mail, keadilan president datin seri dr wan azizah (wife of anwar) said that the claims are baseless.

it’s now a few minutes past 1.00am on a saturday of 25 oct. 2003. around 1.00am last week on a saturday, 18 oct. 2003, johan ismail of the favourite popular joe-blogs passed away. it sent shockwaves over the blogging community… to bloggers and readers of blogs alike. yes, it had been exactly one week since we heard of this sad news.

like many others, i do not know johan ismail, fondly known ‘joe’ personally. what i know of him was just through his writings in his blog and the comments he made in response to readers, including me.
