staying in big bungalow

in my previous post i mentioned about not being at home. well, you see, from last monday (22 may) i had been staying in a big bungalow house… all alone. how come? the house belongs to my ex-boss (an unmarried lady over 60 years old). she stays alone and since she was going overseas, she had requested me to stay in her house to look after the house.

wow! the house is indeed huge! the kitchen itself is bigger than the apartment i’m staying in. there are 6 rooms upstairs and 2 rooms downstairs. there is a large sprawling garden with trees, plants and flowers and two swing chairs too.

one thing i find it funny was that whenever i tell friends that i’m now staying in a big bungalow house all alone, the first thing they said to me was “you are not scared to stay alone in a big house ah?”. ALL my friends whom i told them about it, will popped that question to me. ALL. so funny…. strange? why should i be scared? some then remarked that i am very courageous to stay alone in a big house. ha! i don’t feel that at all. actually in the first 2 days, i do feel sort of lonely and oh well… some uneasiness but then i get used to it. thank god her house has internet… though on dial-up and using the notebook.

well i will be going back home to stay this evening as she came back last night. however i will be staying at home for only one night (thursday), then during the weekend, i’ll be off away from home again. this time it is for a ‘formation’ (what is more commonly known as seminar or conference, we usually refer to it as ‘formation’) and an AGM of our society of st vincent de paul. it’ll be at the ‘domus st anne’ (hostel area of church of st anne) at bukit mertajam and i’ll be staying there for 2 nights – friday and saturday. thus there’ll be no blogging from me on saturday and sunday.
