IMHO, they know of the existence of this verse. It is not the concept of the Holy Trinity that they are concerned about, but the whole belief of Christianity. It would be suicidal if they taught their children to accept the teachings of Christianity as being part of Islam. As such, most muslims are taught to reject the present day Christianity on the basis that the current Bible is corrupted and not the original version. To them the Injil stated in the Al-Quran is not the Kitab Injil that Christians have now and thus should be rejected in totality. Maverick, no, they didn’t forget.
