AP, AP, AP – apa pasal?
ok this time AP does not stand for ayah pin… er… nor does it stand for apa pasal (whassamatta). this time the AP i’m going to blog about is this very hot topic that’s been going around the net and in the mainstream paper – the approved permits to import cars.
by now you should all know that the list of the names of AP holders had been released. and you would have know about how earlier our makcik minister (minister of international trade and ondustry, datuk seri eafidah aziz lah!) disagree’ with our former PM, the tun to release the names. and she had been accuse of cronism for the issuing of AP. and some people had been screaming for her to resign.
well, did any of you catch the news on tv, where she burst into tears? i did… and sorry to say it was kind of funny to see her, a minister, crying on prime tv. and what she said… which i caught on tv, something to do with the last para of the edge article which said “It saddens me that everybody perceives that I was rude to tun,” she sobbed, using his malay title. “you are wrong, you are completely wrong…i respect him.” was as follows (not her exact words):
“i was the one who stop him from resigning.”
(heh. i can still remember she said she run to the tun when the tun made the annoncement to resign until the heel of her shoes broke.)
“i was the only one out of all the ministers who did not give him a birthday present.”
(and proceeded to explain in length how samy velu (plus some other ministers i think) asked where’s her present for the the tun and samy was then embarrased to learn that she did not have one for the tun).
whoa! apa pasal ini? was she trying to justify what she did previously to show that she has full respect for the tun. oh well… whatever… but the fact remained that she had been accused of cronism regarding the issuing of AP.
note: see lone’s excellent post on this issue where he revealed a ‘blockbuster twist’.
